Just announced MOG soon in Australia (http://www.mog.com/) - FINALLY another Pandora/Spotify-type service in Oz without having to jump (and fall) through barely-even-useful proxy hoops!
Now if only XBMC...

A BIG thumbs up for MOG! It's the best there is.
MOG has a really great catalog and it is the only service which streams in good enough quality to play on a decent home system (320kbps, way better than Spotify and one can really hear the difference). I really hope there is a MOG plugin in the works. In the meantime, I stream MOG from my iPad through AirPlay (I also LOVE AirPlay and am very happy it's integrated into Eden)

Another method - you can stream MOG to Logitech Music Server (used to serve Squeezeboxes) -> and then use my XSqueeze addon to bring this to XBMC... http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add-on:XSqueeze
My research suggests this should work... My XBMC stuff: ...inc: |

Mog has now a Windows desktop app as well:
https://mog.com/#!computer I wonder if it's possible to integrate the web (HTML5) interface into XBMC? |

In installed the LMS and also established an account to have apps coordinated with my LMS (mog, LastFM, Pandora, SiriusXM). I installed a squeezeplayer on another computer on my network. It picked up not only my albums but the apps, which worked without exception. In installed xSqueeze into XBMC. While it would pick up my albums, and would also play internet radio, none of the apps worked. They would often come up (SiriusXM came into my account and allowed me to choose a station), but no sound. The same with MOG. Pandora and LastFM, while recognizing I had an account on my other desktop, believed that I did not have an account when played through XBMC. Not trying to crap on the xSqueeze, I love that I can get internet radio through it - but for some reason, it doesn't seem to be fully functional with the appz. |
