hello this is going to be my first htpc


case silverstone lascala lc19

motherboard AMD FUSION asus e45m1-m pro

ram 4gb ddr3 corsair 1600 mhz

remote Pulse-Eight. Motorola NYXboard Hybrid

storage hard disk 1 tb

i want to reproduce 1080p and 720p movies, streaming youtube, playing music and bluray discs. I want to use as SO XBMCubuntu.

any advice or suggestion are well accepted !

Instead of the E-450, why not get an AMD A6-3500 and motherboard. It will be cheaper and faster.

The E-450 has a passmark of 746 while the A6-3500 has a passmark of 2131. Also, the E-450 has HD6320 graphics while the A6-3500 has better Radeon HD 6530D graphics.

My motherboard is the ASRock A75M FM1 AMD A75 for $75 currently: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813157260
My APU is the A6-3500 which is $80 currently: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6819103951

For a total of $155, while your motherboard/apu combo the cheapest I can find it listed in the states is $175.

I'm new here though, and all my parts for my HTPC aren't even here yet so take my advice with a pinch of salt and splash of alcohol.
