I have used ember for quite a while and loved it...some bored time lead me to look at xbne
it works directly with the xbmc database also.....will also work with an sql setup (although i have not tried this yet)
so all my media resides on my unraid server ....all of the metadata is within each movie directory on the server and xbne talking directly to the xbmc database still handles all of this
never used xwmm to know if this also can handle all of this but having now used a program that does talk directly to the database is a lifesaver
i have wanted to go through all of my movies for the longest time and make some changes but the thought of going through each movie on xbmc and having to do a refresh on each movie well kept me from doing it lol
although xbne does not handle tv shows so i still use ember for that......I dod not know what extra files xbne would have created though unless you had it scan your library for the wrong software ie boxee or wmc or media browser instead of xbmc

Yup. XWMM rocks. Is there a way to change the writer of a movie in XWMM? I don't see a field for it in XWMM.
