Red Mute Button
#1
I'm having an issue with a red mute button suddenly appearing on the top right hand side of the screen.

Can't get any audio to work.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

I am running the latest i5 mac mini with Eden and haven't changed any settings.

I tried deleting XBMC and the reinstalling but the issue is mute button is still there.

Cheers,

Dean

Sorry ... I found the answer.I needed to plug in a keyboard and press "+" continually - fixed it up.

Cheers.

Not sure if you permanently solved it, but I had something similar on my Android Remote: Problem solved here:

Seriously? I have to keep a keyboard plugged in to use XBMC? What are they thinking?

No, incorrect assumption.

I had the same issue - I seem to remember I fixed it for me by :

playing a video,
pausing,
bringing up the OSD during playback
selecting audio settings and adjusting vol
saving audio settings as default

If this fails you could do a clean install (delete userdata folder) of XBMC
