Also the app sometimes seems to create multiple instances of xbmc.bin process which prevents exiting xbmc properly.

Just installed 0.2.9 and ran for the first time. It locked up, had to reset. Below is the debug log, hopefully it can help.

I get the same thing here, everytime I start the X-Sopcast addon XBMC locks up and I have to kill the application.

I thought it had something to do with older versions so I moved the ~/.xbmc directory (so I could try it on a "clean" xbmc)
and then installed the x-sopcast addon, but it behaves the same way.

I have the SopCast Player working fine here so I guess I have all the libs needed, is that right?

the XBMC I use is the XBMC-PVR from margro github branch

try to download http://download.easetuner.com/download/sp-auth.tgz and unzip it in plugin directory like that:
.../plugin.video.x-sopcast/sp-auth/sp-sc-auth

Can't open any channels... So tried to copy the libstdcpp5 files to /usr/lib..
I get Read-only file system.. tried to change /usr/lib DIR to 777 but tht doesn't work either.

you need to be root to do anything there.
activate root account with:
sudo passwd root
and then login as root

I SSH in as root into my Openelec system but i cant copy the files into /usr/lib FS. Says Read only no matter what i do.
I ve read somewhere that Openelec OS, is basically an image which is read only except Storage.. Can anyone tell me if there is any easy way
to get the 2 files into lib DIR. I am not a techie so am hoping there is an easy way out or i will have to forget about this addon until something can be worked out.

I'm getting a tzset error on OpenElec PVR Generic (devel-20120614003416-r11300, 3.2.19 i686) using x-sopcast 0.2.9, am I missing support for this lib?

I don't know why, but x-sopcast 0.2.6 is woring perfectly (in Eden and Pre-Frodo) but the newest 0.2.9 is not working correctly (most channels not working, the Menu option - "M" key- is not working, I shouldn't change channel -everything the channel is the same-...).

Does anyone know if there a sopcast plugin for Windows Eden 11?
