Hi there, is there anyone here that has this specific hardware full working (smooth video and music/video/menu 5.1 analog sound) with xbmcbuntu 11 or openelec?

I want it to send video via hdmi cable and 5.1 audio via 3xP2 analog plugs.

I've spent weeks trying to configure it to work but the closest I've arrived was:

1) with XBMCbunutu 11 with video lags and 5.1 analog audio (using custom hw:1,0) but without menu sounds; or

2) openelec beta2 with smooth video but 2.0 analog audio (using custom hw:1,0) and still no menu sounds.

I've already tried other hardware (other fusion boards, ion, ion 2) solutions like editing asound.conf or adding sound.conf with no success.
any help is welcome.

i got 5.1 running fine via hdmi, but i am using xubuntu 12.04 and xbmc program, did not have to do any editing with the asound.conf but i know it best get the latest drivers

in xbmc system/audio settings are u using the default device or custom hw:0,3 or plughw:0,3? do u have menu sounds? what about the video performance? does it run smooth? have u installed the catalyst driver?
