A quick search says he uses a seedbox and some sort of scripting with it.

I figured it out!!

He has unlimited money, and a personal slave go buy and rip all the media to his server. Lol.

I'm sure if he had a personal slave, she would be too busy polishing his "tugboat" to have time for procuring and ripping media.

Currently 8TB unraid server, about to drop in another 2TB for a 10TB array. Not really copied, but with the unraid array I do have some redundancy. I keep family photos on it and keep a copy on another PC and a cloud storage solution also. But my media is just on the unraid server.

I had forgotten this thread. Funny, I posted back in May with 8TB and was about to upgrade to 10, which I did. I just started my second unraid server. It's a 2U rackmount with 12 bays and has 4 drives preclearing right now and 5 TB running. Tomorrow I should be at 21 TB of total storage of which 11TB is being used. Word has it there will be 7TB under the Christmas Tree!

In my WHS I have 3x2TB, 1x1.5TB and 1x1TB + 64GB SSD for the OS. The 1.5TB and 1TB are coming out to be replaced by 2x3TB for 12TB total. I will probably also add FlexRAID when I do this so I don't have half the space like I do now. I'll use an existing 1TB drive and the 1.5TB and 1TB I pull out for server/data backups.

6x2tb in raidz1, so ~10tb of usable space.

Backups go to the retired 1.5tb wd green drives (which sucked badly)

~5 TB in total.
Music: ~1.7 TB total (1 TB lossless live recordings, 460 GB DVDs (mostly unofficial), 200 GB official releases)
Movies: 1.4 TB
TV shows: 430 GB
Unsorted (aka the "Downloads" dir): 1.1 TB (man, time to start sorting this!)
