Can't figure out newest commit feature
#1
Sho just finalized a feature I requested a few weeks ago and said it is available in the latest commit. I removed my old version of XBMC and switched over to the git package, so that's not the problem.

With commit 691095a6134ff6df7ce3804eba889037ec155f9c you will simply be allowed to remove the node and replace it with whatever you want.

Does this only apply to the file list? Library? Sub-menu under TV on the home screen? No matter what I do I can't find an option to remove the Recently Added node.

It applies to the library. See system/library in the XBMC folder. Copy that to userdata/Database (i.e. copy the video and/or video_flat folders).

Then edit as you please.

Ah, it requires manual editing huh? No wonder I couldn't find it! Thanks.

So, yea, it turns out I don't have the library file/folder that you're speaking of:

While I would like to take credit for this, all credit goes to jmarshall.

Thanks for the link, but it turns out I don't have the video or video_flat folders either, so where am I supposed to start since I don't have anything to edit?

you start by obtaining a new enough build.

Found the culprit, it was set in the PKGBUILD (I'm using Chakra Linux) to pull down commit: c317d94f16be7cafbc34b0b24f8d5336547cc6ca
