Hi there,
Downloaded the latest build two days ago. I tested out the fast channel switching option again, at first I thought it was fixed and working great... but then realised that if you stay on a channel for a certain period of time 5 mins or so, then change the channel, instead of switching channels it goes back to the start of the timeshift buffer and the only way to recover is to stop playback altogether and start again.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Loggio.

Yeah I know... No progress from my side on this point since my last build. My focus is currently on Linux/OSX support of the tsreader addon and merging both addons into one single addon.
After that I will continue the improvement of the channel switching and (finally) full timeshift support. Thanks for testing this again. I have seen the same behavior but I could not reproduce the wrong jump in the debugger. I will try your 5 min waiting time. Developer of the MediaPortal PVR addon and the Argus-TV PVR-addon. feel free to bump timeshift up on the list before tweaking channelchange time. I remember before the time of epg when I was browsing through all the channels to see if there is any interesting on, I never do that anymore, I just use the epg to see if there is anything worth watching.

Timeshifting is already partly working in my master branch but it suffers also from wrong jumps within the timeshift buffer, so actually I hope to solve both issues at the same time

margro - your experimental timeshifting is only available for MP atm, right? Any chance RedF will adjust the 4tr addon accordingly? Also there is a pending PR from RedF on "mainline" - will this functionality be part of your builds (or probably already is)?

When it works reliable enough, I will add the timeshift support also to the 4TheRecord addon as both addons are based on the same tsreader code.
With respect to the PR: when it is added by Dushmaniac, it will be also in my builds. Developer of the MediaPortal PVR addon and the Argus-TV PVR-addon. Unofficial XBMC Windows builds with PVR (Dharma, Eden and Frodo). http://www.scintilla.utwente.nl/~marcelg/xbmc |
