I have copied some non-encrypted programs from a SKY HD box.
SD programs play fine however the HD ones plays sound fine but the video judders trying to catch up.
Mediainfo says its MPEG-TS with Video CODED AVC and AC3 sound.
It plays fine in VLC.
Could anyone advise what I need to add to my Win 7 XBMC for it to play?
Cheers
Alan

You need to go to a bleeding edge nightly build.
The problem was in ffmpeg which was not updated until after the release of 11.0 (Eden). Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. Thanks sho
I assume that will turn up in the next release then? I did have a look at the nightly builds but can't see what they include. Cheers Alan |

Until now I have mostly played MKV files and have not encountered one that doesn't run smooth. Of course I have enabled hardware acceleration, because otherwise my PC cannot cope. Now I have received a MPEG video file, with these characteristics: Code: GeneralIt does not play well. In fact, the video is extremely choppy and so is sound. It seems like hardware acceleration is not working? I have tried to play the file using WMP Classic (from sourceforge) and that plays fine. Maybe XBMC needs an upgrade? Or am I missing something? |

This happens only with MPEG-TS files. They play completely fine with MPC. I have K-lite mega codec pack installed with default settings. XBMC have played everything without any problems but not this.
