Linux XBMC crashes when navigating to a certain directory

Bug
Title pretty much says it all. Arch Linux x86_64. I have tried building from git and the same happens. I have looked at the crash log and assumed that it is caused by trying to get a thumbnail for a mov file. I have confirmed this by moving it to its own directory. I have never had this problem with previous versions of xbmc. Is there any way to prevent this?

Crashlog.

The file will also not be playable. We'd need gdb installed to have hope of diagnosing remotely.

Please keep the file in case a dev needs it to reproduce.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

I installed gdb, so now the crash log has more information. Also the file is ~800MB so it may be challenging to transfer. Also the windows build of XBMC 11 does not have any problems with this file.
