I have a hard drive which contains the following folder structure:
E (MEDIA):\ Videos \ Movies \ "Movie Name" \ "Movie File"
E (MEDIA):\ Videos \ Shows \ "Show Name" \ "Show File(s)"
Source 1: Attached Movies, scraped with the MovieDB
E (MEDIA):\ Videos \ Movies \
Source 2: Attached Shows, scraped with TVDB.
E (MEDIA):\ Videos \ Shows \
Source 1 works perfectly.
Source 2 doesn't work. Through XBMC, when I go to the appropriate directory for shows, there's actually no additional folders or files visible. Windows can see and open the folders and files under this directory just fine.
Any clues? This is really puzzling - why wouldn't XBMC be able to see my Shows folders, but it can see my Movies?
XBMC not seeing a specific folders/media in an attached hard drive

Tv shows have to be very specific. This requires you to have the name of the show, the season, and the episode which requires a specific naming format. Like this.
E:\videos\Tv shows\Game of Thrones\Season 1\01x02 - episode 2.mkv This just one way to name files. Read the wiki for more naming formats. Also this is assuming you're directing XBMC to each directory (movies & tv) separately. |
