Hi,
I must admit I got a bit confused about AirPlay and what is and isn't supported in the XBMC Windows version.
I tried to get it to work with Spotify on iPad, XBMC does appear as an airplay device, but I cannot get it to play.
Now, in one thread it is stated that the AirPlay implementation does not yet support "audio" (in response to a user who could not get XBMC to show in iTunes) - http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1086337
In another thread a user had some issues with YouTube, where there was some suggestions how to fix it - http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=126201
So, does this mean that video from YouTube for example works but not the audio, or is this "audio" implementation something else?
Since XBMC did appear in Spotify I am a bit confused as to whether it should work or not (if it is I'll post logs etc separately).
Thanks.
Airplay support confusion

The XBMC Wiki page should have the info: AirPlay
Basically, audio from a video will work, but audio alone is a different protocol. That protocol (AirTunes) doesn't work on Windows yet in XBMC. What you can do as a temp work around is run Shairport4w in the background at the same time as XBMC, and select that for your audio-only AirPlay stuff. You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc |

Thanks for the reply.
I am still uncertain if it should work with Spotify or not. It does appear in Spotify, but the question is if that is as an AirPlay or AirTunes device then. I.e if it does appear in the first place as an available device, can I then also assume it should work?

It will appear as an option but it won't work.
