Current Favorite/Best Remotes

I was wondering what might be the best remotes you can find right now for use with XBMC (Windows)? By best I mean they're durable, plenty of features, but most of all are straightforward to set up and work reliably. I found this http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Rem...ol_reviews. I can't help but feel that there are more options or maybe it's a bit outdated.

I think what I'm really looking for is a remote that will be supported by XBMC several versions down the road.

That's a pretty comprehensive list on the wiki. Might be a tad dated but remotes don't pop up overly often.

As to "a remote that will be supported by XBMC several versions down the road" ... well, that would require a CBRemote (CB = Cyrstal Ball .... Wink ).

I picked up a Harmony 300i refurbished at Newegg for 16.99 and I love it. It is programmable for 4 devices, I use it to control the TV, Tivo, Roku and XBMC (by emulating an MCE keyboard). It is easy to program online and it helped me to dump 4 other remotes.

If you liked the 300i your going to love the higher end Harmony remotes. Not only do they do more devices but you can program what turns on when. So it one button to watch TV, one button to watch video, plus you have speed control on you devices so they turn on in the order you want. I got my Harmony 650 for $40 refurbished fro TD
