Is it an actual XBox-Controller or a Xbox 360-Controller?
However... as said: The controller is working just fine over here.
You also do not give a whole lot of information about your system, which could help determine the issue.
Also - there is no application "xpad" which could emulate the controller - do you mean xpadder?
Why do you use it in the first place? XBMC should be able to run the controller without xpadder.
Did you try using a custom keymap?

With xpad I mean this,
http://www.mjmwired.net/kernel/Documenta...t/xpad.txt
is the module that ArchLinux (maybe Ubuntu too? they are all linux kernel powered distro) load by default when connecting my Xbox360 controller (for PC).

this is my laptop, I can test it also on my desktop if needed.

I did not use any custom keymap or configurations.

Ah... I see.
Try this guide:

Or try using the userspace driver:

but I want to use the kernelspace driver (it works out of the box and the userspace driver give me problems with some games).

So - the driver is currently working fine, only XBMC doesn't pick it up?*
Then follow my thread here - it explains to you, how you can setup your controller for usage with XBMC (i.e.: You have to build a custom keymap):

*=This is what I meant with "information": Please, if you want help, post everything regarding your problem:
What doesn't work, but should?
How doesn't it work?
What did you expect to happen instead?
Does it work with other programs?
A logfile. Please... always a debug-logfile if you want in-depth help.

You could, for example, have already posted way more information - that you already used the userspace-driver for example.
We're just guessing at this point.

moving trough menus by pressing digital buttons

Quote:How doesn't it work?
I press and nothing happen

Quote:What did you expect to happen instead?
it moves in the menu

yes, for example games.

I tested xbmc some year ago with userspace driver (xboxdrv) and it worked but I had problems with games so, instead of switching drivers I decided to not use xbmc.
Now after the xbmc11.0 I tried it to test if it works with kernel space driver but It doesnt.

now I'm asking, is possible to have a menu in xbmc to configure the gamepad keys if it isn't able to autorecognize it?
We're just guessing at this point.

That would be a feature suggestion - post it here, it will get more attention this way:

However - since there currently isn't such a menu, you could follow my link I posted to create a custom keymap.
