Controlling the mouse speed
#1
When I open up XBMC in ubuntu 12.04 the mouse is very fast and sensitive. I've looked everywhere for some sort of setting within XBMC to tweek the mouse settings, but with no luck. Anyone know how to tweak the mouse settings?

Ah, so I'm not alone!

To add some more information: Settings that are in Ubuntu seem to have no effect on the mouse once XBMC opens. I can change the settings in Ubuntu and other applications using System Settings, but once XBMC is up, all that is out the door and it's going around like mad. Once XBMC quits, it goes back to being whatever I had set it at before.

Probably not what you want to hear, but disable mouse support in XBMC. XBMC is optimized for a 10-foot user experience, so a remote control or wireless keyboard is your best bet for effectively navigating the XBMC GUI.

Indeed, not the expected answer. !
Could it be a new feature, sensitivity control for the pointing device ?

this version uses system settings for keyboard and mouse: https://launchpad.net/~wsnipex/+archive/...nta-master

it has already dropped sdl.

Change from full screen to in a window (in the system settings)
Not perfect, but the mouse is easier to control now.
