Hello!
I've encountered a problem that is more annoying than critical.
Problem
XBMC can't play files that are compressed into rar-format. This problem came after I upgraded from Ubuntu 11.10 to Ubuntu 12.04. When I use the filebrowser in XBMC it finds all unpacked files, but it won't show the .rar files.
It seems like there is some module or addon that does not support Ubuntu 12.04, and is disabled.
What I've tried
I have tried to purge XBMC with $sudo apt-get purge xbmc, and before installing XBMC again (from the official repo) I removed the userfolder.
This had no effect at all.
Anyone have a tips to how I can solve this? Or do I just have to wait for an XBMC update?
Sorry for my horrible english, it's kind of early in the morning.

Please use google:
rar debian site:forum.xbmc.org Answer: Build yourself if you want unrar support. Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules. For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first. ![]()
