In MyMusicNav.xml from context menu if we select "Go to root" we reach at the root of navigation.
That root screen displays many items for example: Genres, Albums, Artists, Songs, Years, Top 100 , Search , Playlists etc.
How can we tell xbmc (through skinning or any other way) not to display items named "Search" and "Compilations"?
Thanks for help in advance.
How to hide items from root view?

You can't in music.
You can in videos (check a May nightly). Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting. Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules. For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first. ![]() |

And even then you cant do it from a skin the user has to do it manually by editing xmls and it effects all skins
Skins I have done.... ![]() And others in the past... Want to know what I'm working on currently? Check me out on Google+

If we can come up with a decent way to do it, sure.
