AppleTV 1 (silver) Music Library very slow and cannot play music

Hi there,

I have an AppleTV1 with ATV Flash to run XBMC (Eden). I am encoutering two issues when trying to play music:
1) The Music Library is very slow. It takes many minutes to open the Music Library, again many minutes to open the Artist folder (and select a song).
2) I am unable to play songs. Once selected I get an error message "Can't find a next item to play".

Additional information:
- Internal Memory Usage ranges between 97 and 99%...
- My music is stored on a Synology NAS which is wired connected using a Netgear Gigabit router. My music collection is about 120 GB

What can I do to overcome both problems?

You're sharing via UPnP. XBMC does not support UPnP in either library.

Use a real filesharing protocol such as smb:// or similar.
