Win HD-Audio Trouble
#1
Hello All,

I just bought a new GTX550 TI. I'm Noob and I'm having HD-audio trouble, running a new HTPC, windows 7 connected to a Sony AVR via HDMI.
I'm only interested in watching HD movies and TV shows via xbmc.
My issue is that I seem to keep losing my audio configuration in windows.
After installing GTX550 and updating to newest drivers I had all possible audio encoded formats, DTS, Dolby Digital, AC3 and couple more.
Today I checked and found I've lost all encoded formats under windows audio properties. And I get the dreaded "audio device failed to initialize" in xbmc.
This is the second time this scenario has happened.
It's like a game of hide and seek.

Anway, I've read numerous threads on related topics and, still no joy here.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

PS On another thread, It's been suggested and I've disabled 2 additional onboard Realtek audio devices. Same result
