XBMC making loud buzz on iMac.

When I start certain video files my iMac (Leopard) makes a terribly loud buzz. This loud sound also happens after fast forwarding certain videos. It feels like some sort of soundcard issue. I'm using Eden and having this issue with both SD tvshows released by TvTeam as with 720p shows released by sceneline.
