Xbox 360 PC Controller NATIVE support (using xpad)
#1
I'm talikng about Linux, Archlinux in particular.
When I connect my gamepad it load the kernelspace driver called xpad: http://www.mjmwired.net/kernel/Documenta...t/xpad.txt
but I noticed that also with the last version of XBMC the support of this gamepad isn't out of the box (or native).

why dont create a procedure in the code that do someting like this:

* detected a gamepad
* gamepad is 'xbox 360 pc controller'
* autoset an appropriate keymap
* let user start using XBMC using this controller

(I am not sure, but unlike remotes, when you connect a gamepad the system know exactly what model is, so it can do the appropriate stuff)

in this way I can connect a pc to a tv, without mouse or keyboard, connect my gamepad and start using XBMC.

(This exclude any other manual operation from the user like setting xboxdrv, setting keymap etc....)

sorry for my english and thanks for the attention.
