Thumbs Up
Just did a OpenELEC & TVHeadend install, super easy since last time I did it about a year ago!
Working straight away, CWC client connects to my CS server instantly.

Simply blown away by the channel switching speed! Awesome saucesome, better than Dreambox.

Just had to come here and express my happiness cause my g/f wouldn't get it if I'd tell here Wink

I noticed the (very) fast zapping times too (new in tvh/xbmc-pvr land). It's almost like FTA zapping on a dreambox.
What hardware do you have (DVB card)? I bought a Digital Devices Cine S2, since I read posts suggesting that it is one of the faster cards (and if there is one thing I don't like is sloooow zapping).

Is there a jargon FAQ for PVR? What's "Zapping"? New to this whole thing. Just picked up a HDHomerun and thinking about running TVHeadend in Ubuntu VMWare Player on Win 7 instead of Media Portal.

"Zapping" = switching between channels.

Also see Zap time Wink

BTW: Don't know if virtualization is of any influence on zap times. I'm nothing more than impressed on a bare Ubuntu commandline install.

I have to tone down my enthusiasm a little bit.

SD channels zapping is instant (encrypted and non encrypted) which blew me away.
HD channels are not as fast as SD unfortunately which is understandable of course. The Dreambox still wins there.

I have 2x Mystique CaBiX-C2, DVB-C (KNC ONE TV-Station DVB-C) and 1x TECHNOTREND TT-budget C-1501 (bit of overkill for me to be honoust)
