Hi guys,
Love XBMC so far, I just got it going with my new mac mini. I can import movies just fine from my my bookworld, a localized NAS, and it does so with correct album art and stuff but if I leave and come back to the xbmc hours later, and click on a movie to watch, it says the movie isn't found should I delete it from my library? It does this for a while, then spontaneously starts working again. I have my movie folder setup through mbookworld afp.. am I doing somethign wrong?

Thanks

I have a WD Book Live. It goes in to sleep mode if it isn't used (I set it that way) to save energy. So when I want to watch a movie and my WD Live is in sleep mode it triggers my WD Live, but that takes +-20sec to wake up. That is too long for xbmc, so you get a time out. You wait a bit, t'ill your NAS is out of sleep mode and try again!

That is off course if you're WD NAS is going into sleep mode.
Otherwise, we will need more info i guess...

My mbooklive does go to sleep, but I never had a problem with atv or boxes box not loading up fine even if it needs to be waken up.Any other suggestions? One more thing, when I have suspend when not using the xbmc for some time and come back, the up and down arrows on the apple remote causes the volume to go up and down on the mac mini itself, thats annoying and a reboot fixes it, any suggestions for that?
Thanks for the help, I'm just getting into exploring xbmc and my gosh it rocks!

Now I'm just guessing: Maybe atv and boxes box (Boxee Box?) have a longer time-out period? So in essence: they try longer to connect to your NAS. If that's the case: try to expand the time-out period of xbmc (no idea if that is even possible).
As I was saying: I'm running out of ideas... (not a pro talking here Wink )
For the other problem: no idea

Well I just went home and tried it again, it worked fine, I think it had something to do with that xbmc auto updater, but I'm not sure.
Thanks for your help tho. XBMC rocks!

Now its doing it again, if I come back to the computer the next day and use xbmc that hasn't been shut down the NAS Mybook doesn't work (it says server not found remove movie) or something like that. If I exit XBMC and come back immediately it starts working again.. weird?? Maybe I'll just have the computer exit xbmc when not in use for 1-2 minutes? ANy other suggestions?

Do you think mapping the my book as a network drive would be helpful? rather than using afp?
