Watched Status question
#1
What's the best way of preserving the watched flag for movies and tv episodes?

Sometime soon I'll be moving my media files to another server, and reconnecting to xbmc. The server will have a different file path.
I'll have to add a new source, remove the old one, and clean the library to remove duplicates. Will XBMC recognise that certain episodes and movies have been watched, and set the flag correctly, even though the file paths are now different?

If not, what's the best way to preserve the watched status of shows?

Best way I do not know but you need to enable it in advanced setting if you want to import the watch flag from .nfo.
Then export library and you can later scan it including watched status.

There is also an add-on that exports only watch status.

Very interesting, thanks.

Does that method work if file paths for sources are different?
Say I have a pc where the source is a mapped drive to another PC: X:/TV
and another PC where the source is a local folder D:/TV

If I export the database from one, can I import it on the other and have watched flags be recognised?
