I have had ongoing issues with XBMC freezing while doing various tasks. Most commonly, it seems to freeze up when starting a movie from the library or when starting a recording with Mythbox or the built-in myth client. When it freezes, I have to use kill the process and restart.
I am running Ubuntu 11.10 with one of the latest builds of Eden (this also happens for me on the release version of Eden).
I have tried several skins, tried using the latest trunk builds of XBMC, etc and nothing has resolved these issues.
