Hi all

Just wanted to say that i've compiled xbmc 12.2 for aif support following the changes proposed by jmarshall, and it works great (individual song tag reading + adding album to library)

Thanks jmarshal for your time.

Cheers

Thanks for testing.

I'll ask the other release manager whether he'll allow it in Gotham or not.

I only just stumbled on this thread a few hours ago - I asked for this several years back and had nearly given up. My mpd machine died and I'm using xbmc as my backup - happy to report the nightly build is happily indexing several terabytes of aiff files - thanks Jmarshall!!

Resurrecting this thread, just to confirm that Kodi (v16.1) reads WAV file tags !!!

I edited, added the WAV tags in all kind of WAV files, using Mp3tag and AudioShell , both freeware,

and those tags allowed Kodi to incorporate my DTS music files (as WAV container) into the music library.

I no longer need to play them from the "Files" page!

I put the "(DTS)" as end to the Album name and it allows me to filter them.
