I notice that 3.0 RC is now available but I'm curious if there was a 2.x final release? I manually patched my 2.0 release with a few bugs that were fixed in the GitHub versions. I always assumed an official 2.x final release would appear.

In GitHub there is a master branch, a 2.1.0 branch, etc... I'm not quite sure which I should be grabbing.

since 3.0 will appear in some days, you shouldn´t care about that anymore
i agree that the release cycles were far from optimal in the past. we´ll try to do it better in the future.
