Hierarchy of APU's - n00b in the house!
#1
Hey all,

I have decided to build a system (or preferably buy a nettop) but I have been out of the system building game for a couple of years. <Old man voice> Back in my day CPU model names gave clues to their power/value. </Old man voice> This no longer seems to be the style. I have been enjoying reading all the threads but need some base info to work with. Can someone put the top five APU/CPU's in an ordered list? I know the threads here are comprehensive but by the 85th page of the thread its easy to lose the plot.

Here is how i think they go (least powerful to most):

- AMD e-350
- AMD e-450
- AMD A4-3400
- Intel Core i3

But what/where is Llano? I know i am missing some other key Intel Chips and what is the Hudson M-1 anyway? Thanks.

PS. If this is a pain how about someone just tell me the hottest new Pico-powered Nettop that meets Category 6 on the Eskro scale Smile

A8-3850/A8-3870K and i3-2105/i3-2125 are in the same league. It have very simila price and performance too "A8 X4 3870K Black Edition and Intel Core i3 2125 LGA 1155". For the 100W A8-3850/A8-3870K, you'll need this "picoPSU-160-XT + 192W Adapter Power Kit" and this "SilverStone Micro ATX ML03B"......

Here is the review on A8-3850/i3-2105: AMD A8-3850 2.9GHz Llano APU Review......
