I've seen that it's possible to personalyze the XBMC splash screen, but, it is possible to visualize it in FULLSCREEN?

Yes, just make the image 720p i.e. 1280 x 720 in size.

Almost five years later, I discovered the following REQUIREMENTS to get a working splash screen in Kodi:
1) The file MUST be in PNG format.
2) The file MUST be named "splash" (not case-sensitive).
Also, I found that there doesn't seem to be a size or resolution limit for it. I tried upto a 3840x2160 PNG file and it works great.
