I just setup my new system. I'm upgrading from an old appletv. I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and the latest XBMC as of yesterday. The Asrock comes with its own remote. I can not for the life of me get this to work I have followed about 10 different guides to do this, some from here in the forum and a few abroad. Its 2:30am and I give up. Does anyone have this setup, or can shed some light on this for me. I have already followed a handful of step-by-step guides.
It seems that most of the guides are pre ubuntu 12.04 so somethings are different and pre "Eden" so somethings there are different also.

The remote that came with the Asrock is registered a 'nuvoton' I also have the little white remote that came with my appletv so if any one can help me get either of these working.
