XBMC freezes randomly, Linux still running fine in background

hey guys using a HP MicroServer ATI 6450 1gb GPU,

randomly while watching 720p tv rips the video stops but audio continues for a few more seconds and all of XBMC locks up. I can still putty in and execute commands and use the desktop etc just fine, end up just having to reboot the whole box to get back to a working XBMC.

pasted the log file here if this helps,

CRenderManager::FlipPage - timeout waiting for flip to complete is the last thing I see before the freeze.

Check dmesg and see if you are getting asic crash on your ATI driver.
