[split] Movie Library Problems
#1
I sincerely apologize if this really is not the correct place for this question, but I have searched all that I can on this massive and wonderful forum with no luck.

I use an Apple TV gen 1 with the Firecore ATV Flash hack and that put XBMC V11 Eden on my Apple TV.

Much to my enjoyment, the latest version of XBMC now groups my movies for me in Collections (see Batman, Die Hard, etc) however it has made some rather odd collections for me that I wish to diperse, but I can't seem to figure this out.

Anyone else run into this?

EDIT:

Solved it. Just go to the Collection in you library list, and pull up the context menu. Choose Remove from library. You will be asked if you are sure and choose yes. After that, THEN it will ask if you want to remove the movies inside of the collection, which you don't and then they will be amongst the rest of your movie collection!

Yes the collections are scraped from themoviedb and can be turned off in settings.
if you want to control them you might want to look into nfo files.

Using XWMM webinterface can also be used for changing movie sets and more.
This edits the library directly

I don't want to turn the collections option off though, I LOVE the collections feature. I just have a few collections that XBMC created that I don't watch to remain collected.

then XWMM webinterface manager is the right thing. You can simply remove them from sets

No good for me unfortunately because the XBMC is behind an Apple install. I have an Apple TV first generation, with an ATV Flash hack install which put XBMC on my Apple TV. No browser with that installation, so nothing launches after I have installed the add-on you've mentioned. Thanks though.

xwmm is a web server that runs on the xbmc machine. You can connect to it from other machines through the browser by typing in the IP address of the apple tv. Search for the main xwmm thread in the addons section.
