Done right, I think it could be cool. Unfortunately, I think that's where most of the motion implementations so far have fallen short.
Here's how I think it could work: Xeebo skin Mounted on the front of the chair arm, pointed up, but an inch or two below resting level of the arm where it's out of the way but easily accessible I could slide my hand forward off the end of the chair arm to start giving commands Flick 4 fingers up/down to scroll Swipe left/right to pull open the side menus Flick 1 finger up/down do step through items one at a time Thumbs up to select? Maybe clench fist? Hand forward open palm, fingers extended to pause Poke an imaginary button in front of the couch to resume play Point thumb to the right to Stop Swipe finger to the left for 30sec jump forward, right backward Swipe hand to the left for 10min jump forward, right backward That seems natural enough, as long as I don't have to hold my arm out and look like I'm trying to do the macerena. |
