+1
Well, the Sempron 130 I'm running is more than enough for Sick/Couch/SAB.
Heck, it even runs Plex Media Server and streams to my iPad/iPhone without any problem.
I have the Sempron 145
I unlocked it to reveal an athlon ii x2 4450e which is a dual core 45W TDP processor. (PassMark 1196 compared to Sempron 145's 870)
Someone on the unraid forums called me stupid for using an unlocked cpu in an unraid build (due to potential stability issues)
But as far as I know, AMD has not been selling the athlon ii x2 4450e chip for a long time. So the Sempron 145's that are on the market do not have one core disabled due to stability issues, but rather to keep production costs low (It is cheaper to manufacture an existing dual core and sell it as a single core as they already have the machinery and protocols in place for that product than to design a new single core product and change machinery and protocols to manufacture it. It would create a big upfront cost.)
Anyway my machine does sab, couchp, sickb, mysql (for both xbmc and digiKam for pictures), airvideo, crashplan and virtualbox with an XP client (500MB ram) that handles the security cam software (BlueIris). Not even a hiccup so far.
