Windows Loud Audio Click/Crackle when Starting Video

I'm not sure when this started but I'm about 90% sure it was just after I updated to Eden.

Basically when ever a video file is started, there is a loud click/bang noise. This only happens when going from the menu (nothing playing) to a video, not when changing from one video to another. The only exception to this that I have found is that video files with mp3 audio don't seem to make the noise.

My set up is:
Windows 7 -> HDMI -> Devon Amp -> HDMI -> TV
