I was wondering if there is a way to specify the default audio device based on what add-on or feature is being used. For example, for most things, I want it to output sound over HDMI, but when I'm streaming pandora, I want to use a 3.5mm headphone jack. Is there a way to set audio output based on what's being used (music, video, add-on) or is my only option to change the audio output in settings every time?

Not that I know of. You might be able to toggle it with a remote control using "ACTION_TOGGLE_DIGITAL_ANALOG", but I don't actually know if that would do what I think it does.

Wow, took me *forever* to follow up on this. By assigning "audiotoggledigital" to one of my keys I could indeed change between digital and audio. However, it turns out that what I need to change is the audio output device! Any ideas on that one?
