please help I have installed xbmcubuntu v11.10 on the machine, it looks great however I get no sound!

I have tried the HDMI output options in system > audio output & 2.0 stereo (currently the acer is connected to the tv direct as I am waiting on my amp)

Any ideas on how to get this working anyone?

I know it sounds dumb, but I had to update my BIOS on my motherboard to get the HDMI sound to work.. spent two days troubleshooting.. Then in XBMC i had to goto sound preferences and change each sound option until i had one that worked.

Great the BIOS upgrade with the the custom audio output settings worked for me
