I have netflix playing and the screen turns off after 5 minutes. Granted, this is the set up I have in my power settings, however, it only seems to apply to netflix.

I am running it in IE for maximum compatibility. I don't want to change the screen timeout, I'd prefer that Netflix streaming operate like 90% of the other programs I use and have it recognized as active. If I have an emulator running in full screen or even XBMC the screen won't timeout after inactivity.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks,
JOe K.

The solution would be to make it so that IE doesn't cause the display to sleep, regardless of if XBMC is involved or not, because that's how the system will look at it.

You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc

I'm hoping this works but I won't get to try it until later.

-REQUESTSOVERRIDE
Sets a Power Request override for a particular Process, Service,
or Driver. If no parameters are specified, this command displays
the current list of Power Request Overrides.
Usage: POWERCFG -REQUESTSOVERRIDE <CALLER_TYPE> <NAME> <REQUEST>
<CALLER_TYPE> Specifies one of the following caller type:
PROCESS, SERVICE, DRIVER. This is obtained by
calling the POWERCFG -REQUESTS command.
<NAME> Specifies the caller name. This is the name
returned from calling POWERCFG -REQUESTS command.
<REQUEST> Specifies one or more of the following Power
Request Types: Display, System, Awaymode.
Example:
POWERCFG -REQUESTSOVERRIDE PROCESS iexplore.exe Display System

You'd think that it would work but it did not.

Anyone make any headway on this?

There has to be a solution unless everyone is putting up with the same problem.
