Hello,

i am using XBMC 11 on Windows, the media library is hosted on a windows server in a MySQL-Database - i have configured this from the tutorial in post
"2 XBMC PCs and 1 Database on the shared NAS".

After the first run of the music library update, all songs are in the database.
When i start xbmc again and the automatic music library update runs, all songs will be added once again.

So, at the moment every song is about 5 times in the music library database (like said, the database is hosted in a MySql on a Server).
In every database view (title, album-view, ...) and playlists the songs are shown also 5 times...
A database cleanup, which runs after the update, does nothing.

So, what is the problem and what can i do ?

My guess is you are using win32 paths in the database which is a no-no for Eden.

What do you mean by "Win32" paths ? I am using SMB-Share Names like \\server\music\ for the path in the music section.

Thats a win32 path. You need smb://server/music/
