Hello,

I have noticed an issue regarding Airplay from iPad or iPhone to ATV2 running XBMC. AirPlay itself is working but when I try to stream a Video e.g. from Youtube to XBMC, the Video always starts at the beginning and does not resume at the time I have pressed the AirPlay button.

Please find a Debug log attached. I tried to play a trailer from youtube and I pressed the AirPlay button @ approx 15 seconds. Log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=2978

Hope someone can help!
Thanks Blush
Christian

My Setup:
Apple TV 2 running iOS 5.1.1 (untethered)
XBMC 11.0-3 (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=127369)

Isn't here someone who can test and confirm? Or can test with iOS 4.4.4?

Thanks

I've seen this and some similar situations. I just figured it was one of those things we live with, since Apple is always tweaking things and each time they do, that has to be reverse engineered.

Something like YouTube works slightly different than a normal AirPlayed video. It sends a link rather than streaming the video from another device. Then the AirPlay server is told were to advance to, and that part probably isn't getting through. Just a guess.

You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc

Try it with the videos app (airplaying a local video to xbmc). I bet its working there. That said its not an airplay issue, but an issue with xbmc and youtube links. I know its not better with this - but at least its not the airplay code directly Wink
