Win how can I configure the IP that the internal web server listens on?
#1
Hello there,

I enabled the internal web interface and I noticed that the app listens on ALL IP's (0.0.0.0) and I could not find any info on how to configure that (did I miss something in advancedsettings.xml ?).

So can anybody tell me if and how I can configure the web interface on what IP/network card?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think this is possible. There are only two options, to listen on the loopback address or 0.0.0.0.

But where I do configure it to listen to loopback instead of 0.0.0.0 ?

Hmm, it seems I was wrong and you can't configure the web server to listen on localhost.

The option to listen on the loopback address only applies to the JSON (and EventServer I think) server. XBMC uses the microhttpd web server and this doesn't seem to allow the loopback address to be specified.

That's correct. There's no such option in the GUI or the advancedsettings because libmicrohttpd (the web server implementation we use) does not offer these options. All you can do is configure the port and thereby limit the access to the webserver through the port-configuration of your firewall.
