Hi guys,

I'm considering using my MBP 13" (Mid2010, so audio over HDMI is supported) as an XBMC machine when plugged to dock.
Before I'm buying the needed hardware, I hope for your help to understand:
  1. am I going to have screen resolution issues ? MBP13" has lower resolution than my 1080p TV; setting 2nd screen as extended should make it, am I right ?
  2. is there a way to have XBMC open on external screen, fullscreen by default with no user action required (other than launching XBMC itself) ?
  3. is XBMC able to put on suspend OSX Lion when not used for x minutes ?

Many, many thanks for your experiences !
Fabio

1. The GPU on that MBP should handle a full 1080 on the external/second screen with no issue.

2. I believe so, but I can't recall how at the moment. I think it came up in a thread once, and I'll post the link if I can find it.

3. Yes. Waking from the Apple remote, however, won't work in Lion due to changes Apple made.

You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc
