Hi All,

I have been using XBMC live for a long time.

Recently I installed Xbmcbuntu (Eden) and it has been running with no issues. However yesterday I wanted to install my Bluetooth remote so I tried SSH into my xbmc box with putty but I could not login.

I resorted to login with the terminal (Ctrl-Alt-F1) tty1 but I could not login with my user: xbmc and passwd: xbmc. I presumed that got the password wrong, I re installed Xbmcbuntu wrote down the user and pass but I still cannot login to my xbmc box!

Well I re-installed XBMC again, and I still cannot login via tty1 or SSH!

xbmc / xbmc works fine for me and I assume everybody else. It is hard to help you, you are probably missing something obvious but I cant think of anything. Except make sure you used xbmc not XBMC for the user and that you entered xbmc as user name not only full name (or what ever the choices are). I always enter xbmc for name, user and pwd.
