Here is what I did and I'm sure getting it from a repo is the better way but since I could not find one I downloaded the zip file from here https://github.com/AddonScriptorDE/plugi...outube_com and saved it locally and then went to settings, addons, install from zip, went to this zip file and it worked! I now have Best Of YouTube version 2.1.1 installed and working on my Kodi. Obviously I won't get auto updates anymore of this plugin but that appears to be a mute factor since the developer has been AWOL since 2013.

I have been searching around the interwebz and couldn't find git or any other repo for this addon.
I am a noob programmer, but i wouldn't mind sharpening my programming skills just to maintain this awesome kodi addon.
Any info on source status/location or even why this is not in the repo anymore would be greatly appreciated.

dont remember exactly where i got mine, have you tried superrepo?

yep, it redirects to official kodi repo and I get error 404.

Ok, I found it:
http://mirrors.kodi.tv/addons/frodo/plug...-2.1.1.zip

Superrepo was sending me to gotham repository, changed the address to frodo and then I was able to download the zip.
Anyways, still don't get why on earth this addon is not in the official latest repositories anymore...

Not only do I still use this.  I just did a fresh install of Kodi and am trying to figure out how to find it in a repository.

So I modified and updated it with new Python 3. I updated it to 3.0 fixed the broken icon and updated some of the depreciated functions. I set the requirements for YouTube 6.0.0 and Python 3.0.0.

For information, I just updated this add-on for Kodi Nexus

I did only the minimum Python changes to make it work for me, and created a version 3.1.0. I hope it will work for you too.
