Hi There,

Wondering if there is anyone who can help? I am currently running iOS 4.3 (2557) build along with XBMC V11.0.0 Beta 1. My ATV2 device seems to be missing some of the later options which I quite fancy using (such as NetFlix app) and can only assume that it is down to the outdated level of firmware? (Although it does seem to have the MLB stuff on there). Originally it was jailbroken using seasonpass via an unteathered method.

What I am interested in knowing is, can I update the iOS software without having to go through the process of jailbreaking again and reinstalling all the xbmc software back onto the device?

Any help or advice would be great. Big Grin
Regards,
Matt.

Updating iOS always means rejailbreaking and reinstalling XBMC. See iOS FAQ for how to backup and restore XBMC settings.

You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc

And 4.3 is best to stay on as far as XBMC performance goes.

You can always try it out ?
- Backup XBMC settings like Ned Scott said.
- Make sure you have your SHSH from 4.3 (otherwise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeS87_sSsC8 )
- Use latest Seas0nPass to get onto 5.1.1
- Install XBMC
- Restore XBMC settings
