Greetings,
Wondering why all of a sudden I'm getting these errors:
http://pastebin.com/7vCDcb8y
I just updated to iOS 5.1.1(4224), running 11.0.3
I was attempting to update my video library, and I'm starting to see this error pop-up.
I haven't changed anything on the remote server. I can browse the folder through XBMC. so, I know the ATV 2 can connect to the server.
Advanced Setting is still in place I saved it, and just copied it back to the same location.
Any advice would be great!
Thanks in advance.

read the ios faq about permission errors. I bet you've restored while using the user root and that fucked up your permissions ...

okay, so after doing the quick fix on my directories -- which, by the way, seemed to fixed one problem... so, BIG thanks on that!
now i'm running into this problem: http://pastebin.com/fLTQL4pV seems to be rooted by the same evil. @ this point, i'm wondering if it's easier for me to start over... or is this something that intrigues you enough to take a stab at...?

Can you get us a full debug log that includes startup (just enable debugging and then restart XBMC)?
You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc |

You might also want to try to export your library, drop the mysql DBs, then remove the <name> tag in advancedsettings.xml, and then re-import. The <name> tag should work just fine, but there have been reports where people had problems when they included it. In XBMC v11 you no longer need to define the name, as it will default to MyVideos and MyMuisc.

Thank you both for your time and support on this matter.
I believe that my problem was going deeper than XBMC. I started getting problems with openssh and stopped being able to login to the ATV 2. Long story short. I ended up having to re-jailbreak. After that, I went through and only transferred files under the userdata folder -- left the addons folder alone to update normally. everything is working fine now. thanks again though! you guys are awesome! |
