Question  [APPLE TV 2] Addon Update/Install Failed Post: #1
Hi, I keep getting the message "update failed" when trying to upgrade my plugin "al jazeera or rice films"

I transferred all my apple tv XBMC folder which had all the addons and userdata from my old apple tv 4.4.4 to the new apple tv 5.0.1 but unfortunatley cant update any addons or install any.

This happened last time but had a different message when trying to install a plugin I remebering doing something like: chmod .....

Maybe that needs to be done againConfused?? All help is appreciated I really want to get my new apple tv working!!!

Thank U!!!

If you've copied your entire folder, this is likely what you're referring to:

chown -R mobile:mobile /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC

Remember that when using SSH, it is case sensitive, so the uppercase lowercase words make a difference. Be sure to type it correctly.
