I am using the LiveTV addon and some other addons that allow me to watch live TV using the internet.
My question is, is there a way to record those channels ? using RTMPDump or something (OpenElec,...)?
Right now, I would like to build my own dedicated HTPC (Linux or Windows, I haven't decided), and I would like to be able to record live streams so I can watch later on. I want to be able to record because I am currently watching mostly european channels.
I am using Futubox. You can get a full month of 'history' so recording on my end is not really needed. The thing is, it requires that you watch TV using their website, which I want to avoid as I want everything within the same software, XBMC or eventually something else.
Hope someone can help me out.

Not easily.
You can make easy links to the XBMC wiki using double brackets around words: [[debug log]] = debug log, [[Add-on:YouTube]] = Add-on:YouTube, [[Adding videos to the library]] = Adding videos to the library, [[userdata]] = userdata, etc |
