Very very slow downloading

I'm running Eden. Whenever I try to install a new addon, it takes several hours to install. It will show 0% for many minutes, and finally move to 1%. It is not my network connection. I can download at regular speed via Firefox on the XBMC PC. It seems to be any kind of addon (skin, video, etc.)

Are there any known issues with this?

Not any known issues. Are you trying to download from the XBMC repo or 3rd party repos?

Upgraded to May release (version 12 alpha 2) and this problem is completely gone.
